Custom Lehengas
Designed for one wearer, cut to her measure, embroidered by hand at the Jaipur studio.
Every lehenga at Surbhi Sabnani Label is a custom lehenga — there is no rack, no standard sizes, and no design that cannot be changed. You bring the occasion; the studio brings a sketchbook. Colour, fabric, silhouette, embroidery technique, and every measurement are decided for one wearer, then made by hand at the Jaipur atelier.
Customisation here is not a hem taken up on a ready garment. It begins at zero: a consultation with the designer, a drawing made in front of you, fabric chosen from the loom onwards, and hand embroidery — zardozi, gota patti, mukaish — placed where it belongs on your body, not a mannequin's. Two fittings later, the lehenga that leaves the studio has your name on the lining-tag alongside the karigars who made it.
Brides commission custom bridal lehengas four to six months out; sangeet, engagement, and festive lehengas take six to twelve weeks. And distance is no obstacle — the studio makes custom lehengas online for clients across India, Dubai, London, Singapore, and the US, through video consultations, guided measurements, and insured door-to-door delivery.

Peach-to-blue ombre satin lehenga with a nude mesh blouse embroidered in silver-thread florals and a keyhole back — photographed against a deep red wall.

Indigo and ochre block-printed lehenga set with a striped pleated skirt and matching bell-sleeve blouse — photographed under a canopy of bougainvillea in bloom.

Sapphire blue mermaid lehenga — back-twirl as the hem opens into tulle ruffles beneath the palace chandelier.

Cream berry-print lehenga set — full-length on the red temple steps with the pink dupatta draped down the side.
Questions, answered.
- How much does a custom lehenga cost?
- It depends entirely on the work in it — the fabric, the density of hand embroidery, and the construction. Lighter festive lehengas begin at an accessible couture level; fully hand-embroidered bridal lehengas sit at the top. You receive a clear written estimate at the first consultation, before anything is cut, and it holds unless the design changes.
- How long does a made-to-order lehenga take?
- Six to twelve weeks for festive and occasion lehengas, eight to fourteen weeks for bridal. Remote commissions add two to three weeks for the couriered toile fitting. Rush timelines are sometimes possible — ask when you enquire.
- Can I customise an existing design from your collections?
- Yes — any piece on this site can be a starting point. Change the colour, swap the embroidery technique, alter the silhouette or neckline: the collections are a vocabulary, not a catalogue. Most commissions begin with 'like that one, but…'.
- Do you make custom lehengas online for clients outside Jaipur?
- Regularly. Video consultations, a guided measurement session, reference photographs, and a couriered calico toile for structured silhouettes make remote commissions routine — clients in Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai, London, and the US order this way every season, with insured delivery to the door.
